The TB vaccine is only recommended in limited circumstances. In the US, that's health care workers with ongoing exposure to multi-drug-resistant TB, or children who "are continually exposed, and cannot be separated from" adults with untreated or ineffectively treated TB. On the other hand, the reasons it's not recommended are limited effectiveness, and interference with the skin test for tuberculosis, and your doctor knows more about your specific circumstances than the CDC factsheet.
