I had physical therapy this morning--the usual electrostim, ultrasound, massage, and exercise. I'm not sure why Larry hadn't been doing massage earlier, and am glad he now is.

He confirmed my guess that the stiffness in my shoulder is from Tuesday's workout, not related to the rotator cuff, and not something to really worry about. He threw in some good advice about starting at a low weight with a new machine, along with some deep massage of the upper arm (right only) back and shoulders.

He told me about three times to call him if I have problems on the weekend, and ask the front desk for his cell phone number. And then the waiting room was incredibly crowded, and I didn't. I should call later today, or tomorrow morning, and get that.

I'm happy to report that plain yogurt and green grapes are an excellent combination. Since I discovered how much nicer whole milk yogurt is than low-fat, I've been having a fine time experimenting with flavors that you can't get in those commercial six-to-eight-ounce cups of low-fat yogurt. Most of this week, I had canteloupe in my yogurt, but I used that up Wednesday. Hence, grape this morning. (I used jam in between.)

Today, not only are my hands complaining about all the copy-and-paste work, but my eyes have been watering. Chatting with [livejournal.com profile] alanro last night, I said that if my hands weren't feeling better Monday morning, I would go to Edie, tell her I can't keep doing this, and ask if she has any other projects. And, if not, thank her and quit.

This may be precipitous; conversely, it may be basic self-protection. The underlying hypothesis is that if a weekend of more-or-less rest, including some computer use but not lots of copy-and-paste among spreadsheets, makes them feel better, I can file it under "overused muscles" and not worry too much. If it doesn't, I'll be a lot more worried about RSI.

Yes, after posting about consulting my sweeties--and some useful email with two of them about consultations and such in regard to things other than romantic relationships--I more or less blurted out a work/job decision last night. Sometimes my subconscious gets ahead of the rest of me.

Yes, I could point out that this is similar to last year's Commute from Hell, but I'm not sure it is. And yes, I would discuss this with [livejournal.com profile] cattitude, at least: he's the partner whose finances are entangled with mine.

Fortunately, Edie just told me that I'll probably be doing proofreading on Monday and Tuesday, so the decision need not be made.

My September Beads of the Month package (lampwork) came today. Perhaps inevitably, the one I like best, a clear bead with just a bit of pure green, is a singleton, and I tend to wear my earrings matched.

I want to start doing things with the beads and related material I'm collecting.
