I don't have the slightest idea of what to say about the synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh, but it feels like I should say something.
Also, pathetic fallacy—wind-driven rain has been lashing at our windows all day. I was feeling a bit low even before I glanced at the BBC News headlines at the top of my browser window.
So I keep writing get-out-the-vote postcards, and doing my PT exercises, because there's no reason not to (nothing more useful I'd have done this afternoon instead). And, well, when the problem is literally that strangers wish I was dead, self-care becomes part of the Resistance. (Self-care as a radical act is a more complicated concept, and I suspect should be looked at intersectionally—yes I'm a queer woman, but I'm also white (for most purposes, still) and comfortably middle class.
(I have no idea how long I'm going to leave this up; this time the cut tag is for my own comfort more than yours.
