How does Harriet the Spy hold up to reading as an adult? I've not read it in many years, but I think I enjoyed it.

I liked it better as an adult. I bounced off it as a kid, because the humiliation stuff was just too much for me. These days (as a more experienced reader? as somebody who isn't 10?) I'm better at finding the right distance from the cringe.

I like to read youth/young adult fiction. Read most of what my kids were reading as they grew up.
I recently re-read my Andre Norton collection. Octagon Magic held up pretty well, and it was definitely influential on my childhood. Among the 20 other books were some hits and some misses.
