So, I have sent 1800 last-minute get-out-the-vote texts on behalf of the Biden campaign, in Michigan, after doing 4600 non-partisan ones earlier in the day. Non-partisan because while they can't say "vote for Biden" and keep their tax-exempt status, they can send texts to registered Democrats and independents, and skip the known Republicans.
r they can send enough texts that I think every human being and probably most of the fax machines in Florida has been urged to vote.
The Biden campaign was using ThruText, an interface that required twice as many clicks to send messages as everything else I'd sent earlier in the campaign using Spoke.
And now
cattitude is about to serve me dinner. Then maybe Nevada or Alaska?
[450 GOTV texts after dinner, to California and Hawaii, because while both states were shoo-ins for Biden, there were state-level things, including California's usual stack of propositions, on both ballots. I missed the smaller batch of texts to Alaska.]
