Finished in the last few weeks:
How the Light Gets In and The Long Way Home, mystery novels by Louise Penny
The Feather Thief, nonfiction about purely artistic hobby fly-tying, obsession, and the theft of endangered birds from a natural history museum. It's also part memoir: the author heard about the theft at a time when he was at loose ends and discouraged about the work. I don't remember who recommended this to me, but I enjoyed it.
Currently reading:
The Nature of the Beast, by Louise Penny, 11th in her series of mystery novels about Inspector Gamache. There are I think 22 of these so far, and I will probably read them all.

I do like the first books in the series best though, I have a (fairly nitpicky) thing about the later ones, which I won't mention here. Because you might not see it, and then I don't want to draw your attention to it. Would be like pointing out an irritating noise in the room that the other is unaware of.
Meanwhile, enjoy Gamache and have fun at the Bistro.
