After eating my sandwich today, I went for a walk. About 35 minutes at a good pace on assorted quiet, curved suburban streets--I'd guess two miles. It was cloudy and cool, so no need for sunglasses or risk of overheating. My calves pointed out that they're out of practice for this, but the only way to get back into practice is to practice, so I do, and will.
After lunch, I overheard a conversation in which one of my odder cow-orkers (not in my group, he works in the mailroom, but seems to be around a lot, in part because we're near the mailroom) was complaining about the weather, and Cristina was agreeing with him. For sitting around, it was less than optimum, but I've never seen either of them sitting on the grounds with a book or a lunch, and it was good walking around weather.
That said, I think moods at work were generally better in the overcast today than in yesterday's rain, and some sunshine will probably improve them further.
