That's just the right-after-inking stage, when there's ink in my epidermis; once that part heals/flakes off, it won't be as bright, but it should still be much brighter than the faded version I'd gotten used to in the last couple of years. (The sun is the enemy of tattoos, and I haven't always been diligent about sunscreen.)
